Award-winning Sustainable Waste Bins

The DropBucket was designed for the pressing need of reducing the environmental impact of the event industry. Fields of trash are a common sight at events, affecting the environment and the well-being of guests. DropBucket's simple design rethinks a waste bin, meeting today's challenges in a new and innovative way.

The DropBucket was created for helping in the adoption of more environmentally friendly behaviours. Made of recycled and sustainable materials and designed to be quickly deployed in large numbers, compared to conventional waste bins. Also, the DropBucket is more than a cost-effective solution for waste management; it stands as a symbol of environmental consciousness.

Challenge

The growth of the event industry brings an increase in the scale of the amount of waste generated. Traditional waste management techniques are expensive and logistically complex. They often lead to a discrepancy between the amount of waste generated and the resources available for its management. The problem is compounded by the fact that the volume of waste is often challenging to calculate in advance.

Solution

The concept for the DropBucket is addressing such situations by offering a solution even for unanticipated shortages. This functional waste bin is based on a simple, folded cardboard structure. It is simple to transform into a pyramid-shaped container that easily fits into its surroundings. The DropBucket is made of robust corrugated cardboard, consisting entirely of recycled material. It is easy to compress and dispose of as rubbish. That protects the environment and reduces greenhouse gas emissions.

— The DropBucket waste bin offers a very functional and coherent solution for straightforward waste disposal at events. Both concept and design are impressive. In hardly any time at all, folded cardboard changes into a practical, aesthetically appealing waste bin that communicates its purpose at first sight. Once it is no longer needed, it can be disposed of easily along with the rubbish.
